01. How you got started in what you do?
My lovely friend started a wedding planning business after planning her wedding. She needed some wedding day help and enlisted me. I was hooked after that first wedding in 2013. We went on to be co-owners and ran a business together for over 6 years. Emily and I joined forces in 2019. The craziness of a wedding day and the organization it took was perfect for my personality. Every wedding and couple is so different. I enjoy building relationships with our couples and seeing them SO happy on the wedding day. It fills my soul. It’s been 10 years in the wedding industry and I still absolutely love what I do!
02. What’s your guilty pleasure?
I have two! Brownies, you won’t ever see me turn them down no matter how full I am. Sushi. I remember the first time I had it when I was about 15. (I wasn’t a fan then) I have been eating sushi for over 16 years and I love trying new rolls all the time.
03. My favorite place
My parents’ home. It’s so peaceful and serene. They have a pond in their backyard and a screened-in porch that faces that pond. Sitting there watching a summer rain is SO relaxing.
04. What’s on your played playlist?
I jam out to Taylor Swift, Classic Rock and Lord Huron station most days. If I am feeling like I need a pep in my step, or when I am designing blooms, you can catch me listening to Halsey Radio Station. At home, we love Classic Rock or when Brielle and Eastyn have the pick, it’s also Tay Tay!
05. One word that describes you:
Organized – Everything has its place and it honestly makes life so much easier and stress-free for everyone in the household.
06. If you could live anywhere on this planet and take everything you love with you, where would you choose to live?
I was always meant to live in the south! I would pick South Carolina – Hilton Head Island. It’s so dreamy there! I am ready for a trip back!
07. Favorite time of year
I’m pretty basic. I love September however, I HATE being cold more than anything so give me an 80-degree day, every day.
08. What makes you laugh the most?
My girls! I seriously never knew how witty and sassy kids could be. I’m a crier when I laugh and they have me in tears daily! It’s the BEST medicine after a long day.
09. Biggest pet peeve
People who are late and don’t give you a heads up OR if you fail to plan, your emergency is not MY emergency.
10. Your zodiac sign:
Libra! A Libra trait I tend to agree with the most is I love change. I’m not afraid to try something new and I know nothing is permanent, which makes starting something new incredibly exciting.
