October Wedding at The Ridge At Verterra
After a year and a half of planning and designing with the family, the wedding weekend at The Ridge at Verterra finally arrived! The vendor team was up against 30 mph winds, lightning, impending snow, and rain showers. The tent crew went to the ends of the earth working for three full days to make sure this wedding happened! It was certainly a wedding “for the books” and I (Lynette) am forever grateful for the team of amazing vendors who helped make this day possible.
There is a reason why Northern Michigan is a hot spot to get married in the fall. The unbeatable views, bright colors, and amazing venues are unparalleled in any other place in Michigan. We always love planning weddings here and can’t wait to get back!

Invitations
The beautiful illustration on the invitation is of the barn on the property of the wedding venue! Chelsea and Dominic wanted their invitations to be unique and modern with letterpress details.
Ceremony Plan
We waited as long as we could to make the ceremony plan A happen. The cold rain and wind weren’t going to work with us. Even though Chelsea and Dominic were not able to get married in front of the STUNNING arch from Bloom Floral Design, plan B was just as special, intimate and after all, it’s all about the love!
Tent Design
We opted for a clear top tent instead of the standard tent provided by the venue and it made a huge impact on the overall design. While this layout and table configuration wasn’t our original plan (2020, right?) We think it turned out even better! To help with social distancing, we mixed up the table sizes to include bistros, rounds, and banquets with 4 different linen options. We chose linens with texture for the guest tables but kept the color simple to allow the blooms and place settings to shine.
We gave the head table a slight pop of fall color to make a statement. Forever in love with these linens from Special Occasions!
The couple chose a delish Apple Cider Cinnamon Margarita that the guests went crazy for!
Cake
Next to the beautiful couple, the cake table, dripping with blooms STOLE the show! Bloom Floral Design over-delivered on this dream installation and brought the vision to life!
These 4 ladies are so lucky to have each other as sisters! It’s been a blessing getting to know the family during the last few years as we coordinated a wedding for the family in May 2019.
Photo Bus
Despite the cold, the VW photo bus was a hit with guests. The owners of the bus were so lovely to work with and we can’t wait to work with them again!

Chelsea and Dominic (and family!), it was a pleasure planning and designing this dream day beside you all! My time with you will forever hold a place in my heart. Cheers to another beautiful wedding in the books!
