03. Pet Peeves:
When somebody chews with their mouth open. The worst is when they are chewing tough bread or corn on the cob.
04. Do you prefer to read or watch?
I prefer to watch. I like when a book is brought to life in a movie or television show. It helps me to imagine it better.
05. The story behind your name:
Yes, Cap is my actual name. I was named after an 1880s baseball player named Cap “Ansen”. My parents wanted to give my siblings and I unique names with sport backgrounds. My older sister is named Jari- after Jari Kurri, a hockey player in the 1970s and 80s. My older brother is named Macker- after the Gus Macker 3v3 basketball tournament in Michigan. My younger sister is named Ara- after Ara Parseghian, Notre Dame’s football coach in the 1960s and 70s.
06. What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to fly fish in my freetime. Anybody you ask that fly fishes usually has the same answer to why they do it- the places it takes you, the beauty, and the peacefulness.
07. How tall are you?
I am 6’5”. Shoutout to my mom and dad for the tall genes. My mom is around 5’10” and my dad is around 6’3”.08. Are you spring, summer, fall, or winter? Please share why
Definitely winter. The pretty landscapes you see, the holiday season, and the appreciation you have for summer after the season is done are why winter is my favorite.
09. If you could be in the movie of your choice, what movie would you choose and what character would you play?
Captain America: The First Avenger. By far the best marvel movie, I love the storyline and who Captain American becomes. As for the character, my name is Cap, so who else could I possibly want to play?
10. If you woke up tomorrow as an animal, what animal would you choose to be and why?
Throughout my whole life, I have given this question plenty of thought. You do not understand how many times I have been in the shower pondering this. I figured out my answer around five years ago and it was a bald eagle. No, I did not say this bird because ‘Merica. I said it due to strategy. First, bald eagles are protected under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. Second, once an adult, they are apex predators so you do not have to worry about other animals eating you. Third, they eat fish including salmon. Eating salmon straight from the source for free for the rest of your life instead of paying for it sounds like a win to me.
