Nicole + Daniel got married on a gorgeous August day! They hired the most caring, amazing planners, A Lovely Day Events. We love being around, and working with Emma and Kaitlynn again! They literally took care of everything for them.

Emma and Kaitlynn wanted Nicole and Daniel’s reception to feel modern, neutral, romantic, architectural, glamorous, statement-making, elegant, and luxe. The couple wanted all white florals, gold modern accents, and no greenery. A Lovely Day Events used one of my favorite design methods in mixing long and round tables for the guest tables. It made for a distinctive, interesting room layout and created dimension and purpose for centerpiece placement.
For the long banquet style tables, we designed all white, fluffy florals on top of our gold Biltmore stands. The stands are tall, elongated and the perfect shade of champagne-gold. Nicole wanted fluffy, round flowers designed in a way that was not perfectly compact. We used a base of hydrangea and used the white roses and spray roses to give dimension and depth. On the tabletop, we provided hydrangea clusters in boutique April vases accented with assorted candlelight by ALD.
For the round guest tables, we used a trio of the boutique April vases and “flower-blocked” each vessel. We put only white stock in one, only white spray roses in one, and only white hydrangea in one.
It’s always lovely to work with planners who value our designs enough that they know exactly how to accent them. They don’t rely on the flowers only to speak for themselves and Emma and Kaitlynn are always coming up with lovely ways to tie in sophisticated, unique candlelight to accent our florals.
Advice from a Floral Designer | East Lansing, MI
If you want an all-white wedding, I strongly urge you to use ivory linens and white florals. There are very few TRULY white flowers. Most white flowers are actually off-white. You’ll end up with the monochromatic look you’re going for if you aim for an all-ivory wedding.
