Did you know that sometimes we never meet our lovely couples in person prior to their big day? This is due to one of two reasons: 1) our couple lives out of state and we don’t physically meet (we do always do a Zoom call though!) or 2) they have hired a gorgeous wedding planner who takes care of all the details for them and hires us directly. Ashley, of Festoons & Flourishes, is a dear friend and one of the best planners in the state. When she approached us about Jaime & Joel’s Stone House Farm wedding we leapt at the chance to work together again.

Ashley described Jaime and Joel as fun and having a zest for life. They were going for a unique take on a wildflower-inspired barn wedding, that was anything short of spectacular. Ashley brought in hundreds of black lanterns and suspended them from the ceiling. We adorned the head farm table with whitewashed boxes of fresh-cut herbs and greenery. Jaime really wanted to bring in touches of bright florals (red, yellow, blue and orange) in her bouquet. We adored the challenge of pulling together primary colors in a sophisticated way. Each place setting at this Stone House Farm Wedding was detailed out in the best way possible. When each guest arrived at their seat, there was a piece of cornbread drizzled in honey on a personal-sized cast iron pan. Swoon!
It was important for the overall wedding design to feel cohesive. This didn’t stop at the cake! Ashley made sure the exact types of flowers that were going to be utilized throughout the wedding design were also included in the cake design. Sweet Heather Anne did a fabulous job as always.
The extra stems perfectly accented all parts of the reception; from the signature drinks to the test tube passed cocktails, it was a sight to behold. Last, and certainly not least, we designed an extremely delicate chamomile bridal crown. We later found out that the amazing Kyle Ann Hair + Makeup decided against the floral crown for the bride for the ceremony, and instead, Grandma was able to wear it. Again…heart melting swoon!
We can’t wait to work with Ashley again in the future! Mixing her creative design brain and crazy amazing attention to detail with our floral expertise was a dream! XOXO.
