Summer 2019 was a summer to remember for us! We had so many gorgeous, bloom-filled weddings, and Carolyn + Eriks’ Eagle Eye Golf Club Wedding was no exception. From the moment we met them, it was crystal clear that these were our people. When you hear business coaches and mentors talk about “ideal clients.” Well, this was them. They were planning their wedding from out of state and the week of their wedding, Carolyn came in to drop off some goodies, and my team asked if we were friends prior to the planning process because of the rapport we built largely via email. Nope! She’s just that cool of a person!

The Venue
They chose the beautiful blank canvas of the Hawk Hollow Chapel for their ceremony and the Hillside room at the Eagle Eye Golf Club for their wedding. The neutral tones of both venues worked so well with their dusty blue focal color accented with blush, peach, and white blooms, mixed greenery and gold and copper metal accents.
What does an ideal client for AGE look like and why did C+E so perfectly fit this mold? Trust and attitude. They knew enough of what they wanted that it was very easy for us as designers to discern what they would like and not like, but also open-minded enough for suggestions on how to really make their aesthetic distinctive to who they are as a couple.
Carolyn LOVED blush peonies, cafe au lait dahlias and panda anemones. We were able to source all 3 in mid-July, which is an incredible feat in and of itself. Her dad custom build an incredible geometric copper arch that we were able to use at both the ceremony and as a head table backdrop at the reception. A special shoutout to my 6’5” college basketball player nephew, Cap, for largely transporting this on his own. The couple sourced their own geometric copper table numbers to match along with an upholstered settee for their sweetheart table.
To really make the design as sophisticated as possible, we took the greenery and bloom-filled centerpieces and paired them with walnut cross-back chairs and a reversible Maisy dusty blue linen from Luxe Event Linen. We split the linens half and half around the room with the solid dusty blue side upon half the tables and the paisley blue and ivory Maisy side up on the other half of the tables.
