Why are we rebranding? Part 1 of our AGE Rebranding Blog Series

What is branding, what is a brand, and what does your brand say about you?

What our current brand has said is something between we rent tents, tables and chairs, we plan and coordinate every event under the sun, and we provide event decorations.  Only one of those is true, and it’s only partially true.  We don’t provide tents, we no longer provide tables and chairs, we do no planning/coordinating, but we do provide event styling & floral design (which is different from event decorations-which we generally associate with products at Party City).

In order to grow our business in the direction we want, rebranding is a MUST.  It’s a huge investment that we are optimistic and excited about. So far in 2016, we have 55 full event styling/floral design events booked, only 6 rental orders (mostly vendor to vendor), and we have no planning clients.

When you add it all up…we have our ideal client, we are doing the work we love and are best at, yet everyone’s perception of us in general is not in line with what we actually do and who we are. Our family, friends, clients, and loyal Instagram followers may be the only ones with a clear understanding of the direction we are heading, and we want to share it with all of you.

For 23 years, we’ve offered event rentals, where clients come in, pick up items to use and return them. It’s been a very small portion of the business, but it has always existed. So, there is going to be a transition period of referring clients to the people who really specialize in that realm. However, we are making an intentional decision to really show what All Grand Events is now and will continue to be in the future.  We don’t want to be a small fish in a big pond of rental companies, and we don’t want to portray ourselves as something we aren’t (planners). So this is a little bit of the reasoning behind the rebrand, as we work closely with Katie of Ribbon & Ink until we launch at the end of June. It will tell you exactly what we are all about, and it will squash notions of what we aren’t. We do NOT want to be a jack of all trades and master of none. We want to be at the top of our game of the event styling & floral design industry in mid-Michigan and beyond!

Bye bye swirls and corporate green, and hello light, timeless, gorgeous, and all new AGE.  Stay tuned…
